Inbound Marketing: Get Found Using Google, Social Media, and Blogs - A Review

Inbound Marketing: Get Found Using Google, Social Media, and Blogs (The New Rules of Social Media)As a person involved in the business of "changing behaviours" with particular interest in using the Internet as THE channel of communication, I had always wondered about the different methods used by big client and big digital agencies (the ones with big money) compared to those used by the internet marketing entrepreneurs (with little to no budget for marketing).
This book marries the two different methods.
While the two authors have convincingly proved that one does not need big budgets to execute a digital marketing communications plan with the various tips provided within this book, those more savvy would've recognised them as some of these tips can actually be obtained for free online (sorry, Messrs. Halligan & Shah). Many of these small internet entrepreneurs (maybe not small, because some are millionaires) actually offer these tips in forms of free ebooks and e-mailers.
But this book is not completely without value. While some of the information is not new to me, there were a few Eureka! moments. For instance, I never thought to consider website content management to be akin to a magazine/newspaper publishing, i.e. the need for frequent fresh and exciting content.
This book is highly recommended for the Digital Travelers, those very new to the wondrous possibilities that is the Net.
